Abstract

Love of the Prophet (PBUH) and his Ahl al-Bayt is an integral part of faith and a means of achieving the objectives of spiritual growth and development in this world and the hereafter. According to Iqbal, possessing the qualities of Prophet Ibrahim's truthfulness and Imam Hussein's patience is also a form of love. This love is the spark that ignites the flame of faith. The members of Ahle-Bait, especially Imam Hussain, set an everlasting example of sacrifice for the whole Ummah by revolting against the dictatorial rule, and his truthfulness, justice, and bravery, still motivate the followers of Islam to stand up against oppression and never give in. Based upon primary and secondary sources, this research is focused on defining and elaborating the love of Ahle-Bait as aestheticized in the poetical art of Muhammad Iqbal. This research aims to highlight the importance of loving Ahle-Bayt, their status, and the requirements of this love in the present era. The methodology used is descriptive, and primary and secondary sources have been consulted. This research will help us understand life's purpose and responsibilities, enabling us to play a positive role. The fundamental objective of the research is to motivate the reader to guidance and inspiration from Iqbal about articulating the love of Ahle-Bait and its conditionalities.
