Abstract

The subject of Sirat al-Nabi is being objected to by Orientalists due to its breadth and effectiveness. Orientalists and Western critics have presented objections to Sirat al-Nabi in different ways in every era. Bernard Lewis was a famous Orientalist of the recent past.

He was an American historian of Judaism who specializes in Oriental studies. Islam and the Muslim world have been a particular subject of his scholarly interest. He has also tried to shed light on the current relationship between the Islamic world and the West. He criticized and raised objections on various aspects of the blessed biography of the Prophet in the context of Islamic civilization.

In this article, some of the objections raised by Bernard Lewis on the Prophet's biography will be examined on a scientific basis.
