Abstract

This article highlights human rights and discusses the freedom granted to man by Allah since childhood. Islam has placed boundaries and limitations in a way that does not affect this freedom; rather, Allah has honored human beings through these boundaries. This is because when a person lives according to Islamic educational systems, he succeeds. Human nature, or innate disposition (fitrah), does not exceed limits; in fact, it seeks healthy freedom under Islamic environment. However, if a person transgresses the limits set by Islam, he will not succeed. The Islamic belief system does not restrict freedom; rather, it organizes it according to foundational principles—those principles that distinguish human beings. Allah, the Exalted, has clarified what is lawful and unlawful and has encouraged people to seek provision and wealth through lawful means. Islam has legislated both individual and collective freedoms. It has also affirmed the freedom of education, individual rights, economic liberty, and psychological freedom. This article has addressed the problems faced by Muslim youth in the modern era, where Western atheists have played their role by presenting an image of indecency to corrupt the minds of Muslim youth in contemporary times.
