Abstract

Khana e kaa’ba, which is honored as the first house of the universe, was the first holy place which was built to praise and worship Allah and it was the first place to worship Allah and world’s first masjid. From the beginning, Khana e kaa’ba was adjudged as the centre of the worldwide instigation of Deen e Islam and it was aimed and intended to gather from the world the worshippers of Allah so that they accept the oneness of Allah and worship Him altogether and thus this gathering is named as Hajj. We could say that Khana e kaa’ba is the herald of global brotherhood. The construction of Khana e Kaa’ba was not only mentioned in Quran e majeed but it is also discussed in all holy and intuitional scriptures and in the books of other religions. Khana e Kaa’ba has been indicated in a much manifested way that it is the first human construction from which human culture and civilization had started. The construction of the House of Allah is a sacred and greatest act on the earth. Its blessing has been proven by Quran and Hadith. It's constructor was the planet earth's first human being, Hazrat Adam (PBUH). After him, its construction was carried out by Hazrat Shees (PBUH), then Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) and Hazrat Ismail (PBUH), and after that the Kaaba's repair work was conducted from time to time. In fact, even the Holy Prophet (SAW) conducted some of its construction and repair work. After him, this task was carried out by khulfaye rashdin, Umayyad caliphs, Abbasi caliphs and Ottoman Empire, and then after this the incumbent royal house of Saud actively participated in Kaaba's construction, expansion and decoration. Hence, in this article Kaaba's construction has been explained in detail in the light of history. Likewise, important holy locations in Kaaba's surroundings such as Hajr-e-aswad, muqam e Ibrahim, Hateem and Kaa’ba cover have also been mentioned with brevity.
