This research paper presents a profound thematic study of the foundational verse of Surah Al-Hujurat: "O you who have believed, do not put yourselves ahead of Allah and His Messenger." Termed by exegetes as the "Surah of Ethics" (Surat al-Adab), it establishes the constitutional hierarchy of Shariah and the spiritual etiquette (Adab) required of a believer toward divine authority. Through a rigorous analysis of classical and modern Tafsir literature spanning from the foundational narrations of Imam Tabari and the theological insights of Imam Maturidi to the modern sociological perspectives of Ibn Ashur and Wahbah al-Zuhayli this study explores the linguistic technicalities, Historical triggers (Asbab al-Nuzul), and Juridical Ramifications of the verse. The research investigates the linguistic debate regarding the transitivity of the verb "لَا تُقَدِّمُوا " and its metaphorical beauty. The findings elucidate that the verse serves as a psychological and legal barrier against spiritual arrogance and "Iftiyat" (unauthorized action), transforming the Bedouin social structure into a disciplined spiritual community.
